Why Chase Images?
This isn’t our first rodeo! We’ve been serving the Pittsburgh wedding industry for 15 years and have photographed over 300 weddings! We are very familiar with most venues and engagement/photo locations in and around Pittsburgh and happy to guide you in the right direction to best fit your vision!
We are continually striving to implement new, creative ideas; whether it be with posing, lighting or incorporating the surrounding landscape or architecture into your images. Your photos will be anything but boring!
Following the timeline is important to make sure you get every single photo that you want, but we definitely have fun along the way! There is absolutely no reason you should be stressed on one of the best days of your life. I may also crack a really bad joke or two to get you laughing! If you’re nervous about being in front of the camera, don’t be! Our job as photographers is to put you in the best light and provide guidance on the best poses that are flattering and most importantly, speak to YOU. If you have ideas for photos, bring it on! We love collaborating with our couples.
While some of the editing styles seem really cool right now, they may not hold up when you look back at the photos 20 years from now. We firmly believe in editing with a true-to-life style that will ensure your photos will look timeless and preserve your legacy for years to come!
The Process
Preserving your legacy is something extremely important. Ensuring that your photos are exactly how you envisioned them is our top priority. You want the story of your wedding day to be told exactly how YOU see it. You want to remember all the hard work you put into the planning, the loved ones who surrounded you, and most importantly, how you FELT. Here's what you can expect from working with us.
Before The Wedding
I set up a brief phone call, zoom chat, or in person meeting to get to know you and learn more about what’s important to your specific wedding. Afterward, I send a proposal outlining the wedding collection that is best tailored for you.
You’re ready to book! Now what? Once your retainer fee is paid, your date is locked in and secured! I send everyone a client portal link as a hub to keep everything organized such as your invoice, contract, questionnaire, and timeline. Everything can be completed electronically. Easy peasy!
If an engagement session is included in your wedding collection, we will get a date selected and talk location, wardrobe and photo ideas!
I schedule another call with you (and your planner, if applicable) about 1 month prior to the wedding to go over the timeline and ensure everyone is on the same page, and we are ready to rock n’ roll!
DuringThe Wedding
Now the fun really begins! We typically like to show up prior to the ceremony to capture you both getting ready, as well as any important details that will play a part in your wedding day. We capture all of the family photos and bridal party photos that are important to you. I love setting some time for just the couple to enjoy each other and the first moments of being married! If the weather is cooperating, there is nothing better than those golden hour photos at sunset! This won’t take long and you will be so happy that you did it! After that, we take a step back and let you party! This is the time we will capture dance photos, reception details and guests mingling.
AfterThe Wedding
Our work isn’t done yet! We provide a sneak peek of edited photos shortly after the wedding to share with your friends and family. Then we get to work on editing the rest of the images from the wedding day. Once completed, we upload the high resolution images into a private online gallery and email you the link. These images can be downloaded and shared with friends and family or on social media. Print and album options are available as well. We send out your custom Chase Images usb with all of your edited images/ video!
If you ordered an album, I walk you through the process of choosing which images you’d like in your album and then I create the proofs. It is not sent to print until you approve the design and content within the album.
